Andra Tomsa


Having lived and studied in several countries throughout her life, Andra Tomsa has always regarded herself as a citizen of the world. Armed with first-hand knowledge of the economic inequalities in a diverse array of communities, Tomsa attained a Master’s Degree in Development Economics. She has since dedicated her work to the alleviation of poverty and inequality starting with her immediate community. While at Fordham University she was selected as a St. Gallen Symposium Leader of Tomorrow for her submission on the equitable distribution of power and resources. Prior to starting Spare Andra worked as a Financial Advisor with National Life Group. Andra currently resides in Brooklyn with her 4 year old son.

Rameet Chawla


Rameet is the founder of Fueled, a design and development company based in New York, London, and Chicago that produces award winning apps and websites for startups like QuizUp to big brands like Barneys. Since the company’s launch in 2011, over half a billion dollars worth of ecommerce transactions have taken place on Fueled apps. In 2013, Rameet opened The Fueled Collective, a shared workspace in downtown Manhattan that is home to 35 of New York’s fastest growing startups. He is also a founding member of The Summit Mountain Project and General Assembly. Rameet was selected as member of the 2013 venture fellows class by the NYCEDC and has participated in delegations with Bloomberg to foster collaboration between New York and Israel’s technology ecosystems. In 2013, The Next Web named Rameet one of the “50 NYC Tech Entrepreneurs You Need to Know About”.

Dan Simon is Chairman of the Communications Board for the Museum of American Financ, the cohost of the popular Wall & Broad Podcast and the host of Asset.TV’s FinTech channel. Dan is a senior communications specialist with over 15 years’ experience leading campaigns for some of the biggest brands in finance and financial technology, including Bloomberg LP, J.P.Morgan, ABN AMRO and Citigroup. Dan is the CEO and co-founder of Vested, an integrated communications agency focused on finance. Previously, Dan founded Cognito Americas, which he grew from a one man operation in to a 50 person consulting firm, delivering projects for major banks such as Deutsche and RBS, Fortune 500 Tech brands like Intel and Oracle, exchanges, asset managers, as well as multibillion dollar hedge funds such as Citadel. Dan is also a writer for Forbes and was recently appointed a FinTech Mentor at Barclays TechStars in NYC.

Edward Sia is an emerging market economic development specialist in New York City. His portfolio currently includes Somalia, Kenya, Tanzania, Angola, Azerbaijan, Russia, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, Mongolia and Egypt. He has spent over 18 years in financial services technical assistance in emerging and developing markets. His areas of focus include: Small and Medium Enterprise Lending, Microfinance, Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism, Insurance and Pension Reform, Central Bank Supervision, Legal and Regulatory Reform, and Risk-Based Supervision. He is currently serving as a Regional Director to the Financial Services Volunteer Corps, a U.S.-based NGO that delivers targeted technical assistance to support emerging market economies.
